Green Clay face mask
Green Clay or illite clay contains oxides of magnesium and iron and thus are a natural absorbents of fats and Oils, thus making it a useful ingredient for cleansing and absorbing excess oil. Green Clay has great benefits for skin and is used in face masks. It helps to remove impurities & dust from the skin. In combination with nourishing glycerin, Calamine Lotion and calming lavender, this mask cleanses and balances the skin. It also has toning properties, which help to refine pores and redefines the complexion. Here we are guiding you to make a basic Green Clay face mask and it is recommended to use this 3-4 times a week for better results:
1 tbsp powdered green clay
1 tbsp glycerin
1 tsp lavender floral water
How to Make:
Mix the powered clay, glycerin, and floral water in a bowl, thus forming a paste. The paste should be thick enough for you to spread or brush evenly. If the mixture is too runny add more clay. It needs to be used immediately or else it would dry out.
How to Apply:
Wash your face and neck with luke warm water. Then apply the mask to the cleansed skin with fingertips or with a clean foundation brush. The delicate eye area must be avoided. Leave on for 10 minutes, but do not allow to dry. Remove with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
